Papers Please

Today was all about travel. We made a morning trip from Paris to the coastal city of Calais. There is a port in Calais where ferries go across the English Channel to England, and that port is considered British soil. From Italy to here we'd gone through countries without having to show our passports, but on this border it was necessary.

You can see on the picture, the drive through booths on the left are in France, and the ones on the right are in England.

Because it's impossible to predict how the border check will go and subsequently which ferry you will be in time for, they don't schedule anything else for today sight seeing wise.
