London, Trafalgar Square 3

Though not physically in the center of the square, the square was built around a column and stature dedicated to Admiral Horatio Nelson, one of Britain's greatest navel heroes who died at the Battle of Trafalgar.

The pedestal is decorated with four bronze relief panels that were cast from captured French cannons. They depict Nelson's greatest victories: the Battle of Cape St Vincent, the Battle of the Nile, the Battle of Copenhagen, and Battle of Trafalgar. The one shown in the picture is Trafalgar.
