It was also cool to get a very close look at the Ponte dei Sospiri, or in English the Bridge of Sighs. It's named for the legend that prisoners being moved from the interrogation rooms in the Doge's Palace (left), to the prison (right) would look out the two windows on the way over and sigh. Knowing it would be the last look of freedom they would ever have.
