Robinia Pseudoacacia

The narrow streets then emerged into the Square René-Viviani and this little gem. This a locust tree planted by botanist Jean Robin in 1600. It's also an immigrant, since these plants (also known as Robinia) are from North American. At 417 years it's the oldest tree in Paris. It was damaged in WWI and is now propped up a little, but still going strong and blooming every year.

I really like stuff like this.
