There was also this Fairchild C-82A Packet, significant to us because this is the airplane Dad did all of his mandatory parachute jumps from while in the Academy. Though the jumps didn't take place in Colorado but Fort Benning, Georgia where he remembers being in sweltering heat with full pack doing the same pre-jump drills over and over for days. Concerned with them overheating and sweating out too much salt, they would drive in firetrucks filled with salt water and routinely hose the trainees down, which only made it more miserable.
