Moher And Moher

Even further up the hill is Moher Tower, after which the cliffs are named. Well technically they were named after Moher Fort which was a promontory fort built sometime in the Iron Age (that's at least 600 B.C.) and stood all the way until it was demolished in 1808 and replaced with the tower. (Little did we know we'd see what the fort used to look like very soon.)
