The deck has gotten into pretty rough shape after 20 years, so it was time to do something about it. Dad had recently redone his deck with Trex, a synthetic board that's supposed to be maintenance free for at least 25 years. It's a bit more expensive but not having to mess with sanding and staining for 25 years sounded like a good deal, so off to Home Depot we went.
