Ready Player One is one of my favorite books, I've read it several times and listened to Wil Wheaton do the audiobook. It was an impossible book to turn into a movie, and I knew from reviews this was not the book, so Mari and I went in with very low expectations. If you are a book purist and can't divorce yourself from that, you will not like the movie. There is very, very little the same. If you can set that aside and enjoy it for what it is, I thought it was a great movie. We happened to run into our friend Steve at the showing, who also loved the book and he fell into the former category so your mileage will definitely vary.
