I was a big D&D player through jr high and high school, and even though I haven't played since then I've kept up on the editions as time has gone by. I've also played plenty of video game versions in that span. My nephew Scott is in town visiting and he plays, so we got the family together to make characters. We might not have time to actually start a campaign but it was a lot of fun to sit around a table and watch Scott try to explain the system to Mom and Dad. Mari having played various video game versions was familiar enough with the rules. I mean we met playing the original Neverwinter after all! For posterity my mom made a gnome cleric and dad an elf wizard. Mari went human paladin (as always.) Good time.
