And finally to this ferry which would take us across to Venice. There are no roads into Venice and no cars allowed on the various islands. This also makes Venice an expensive city because everything, literally everything had to be brought in by boat. There were food boats, police boats, DHL boats, laundry boats, any kind of boat you could think of.
