On his third day, Bear has officially picked his favorite spot.
Already part of the family, Casie sent Bear a welcome package with some bully sticks, a special stick holder, and this neckerchief that says "new to the crew." He was proven to be very good about wearing things, doesn't care if you mess with his paws, and has not had a single accident in the house. He learned the doggie door quickly. He has no training though, no response to any commands. We'll get there. Yeah. We love him instantly.
This is Bear. We adopted hm from Sumner Animal Control today and already in love He was already given that name so not one we picked, but we like it anyway. We've already decided when Lonnie (the OG Bear) is around he will be Little Bear.
Bear is supposed to be 1 year old, his birthday is January 29th, and he's supposed to be some kind of corgi / shepard mix.
The very first thing he did when we got home was run under the deck and hide, and I had to chase him out with a broom. I admit I had a moment of panic that Mari had to talk me down from. But man, is he such a sweet, cute boy. Welcome to the first day of your forever home Bear.
Dispatch is a mix of a "choose your own adventure" story game and a mini game where you have to match the right hero with the right mission. The story portions had excellent graphics, the mini game was fun, and the story and voice acting was extremely good. It was fairly short, I played through it twice to see different aspects, but also just the right length. All around a winner.I hope they make a second one but it'll be hard to top the first.
We aren't sure why but a salesperson from the Predators was very keen to talk to Mari. She texted her several times, then came to visit us during the second intermission and gave us two pucks signed by Predators defensemen Nicolas Hague. We know its because they want to sell seat packages, but why us? We didn't see others out giving the hard sell and free pucks. No complaints. She was nice and the pucks are cool. That's them at the top with my other pucks.
My favorite Kraken, Eeli Tolvanen was out tonight, either injured or sick I didn't see which. But I did get to see Matty Beniers who is a close second. Predators ended up winning 3-1.
That iconic Bridgestone Arena radio tower. Of course us old schoolers still remember when it was the GEC (Gaylord Entertainment Center.)
Walking to the arena. Downtown has changed so much in the years since we've been here. The Schermerhorn is a constant though.
It's been a while since I dusted off the ol' Predators jersey, but Mari and I are headed downtown to watch them play the Kraken thanks to a gift from Casie and John.
I wish this was a little bit clearer, I think the morning sun washed it out, but I really liked this shot of a blue jay and it's coloring. From a distance they look solid blue with a white stripe, but it's actually lots of blue dots - or should I say squares - that blend together.
Keeper is a small game from developer Double Fine, who are known for good, outside the box games and plots. Case in point, you play a sentient lighthouse with a bird friend trying to save their world. Totally without dialogue, just music, visuals, and noises. I felt like short as it was, it still went a little long, but otherwise another example of how a game can be anything as long as you have the imagination to think it up.
I know, I have a slight obsession problem with downy woodpeckers. I don't know what number this is as far as pictures on this blog. So sue me. But, in my defense it's fairly rare to see both the boy and the girl at the same time, so here's another one!
Spider-man 2 is the actually the third game in this series after the original, and then the Miles Morales story. While I didn't enjoy the story as much as the first one, the Venom part in particular seemed to drag a little bit, it was still a top tier game and well worth playing. Besides I don't think it will ever get old to spider-swing through a very detailed recreation of New York City.
