We got tired of having all our various critter feeding bags inside the house making an eyesore, not to mention dropping seeds and nuts all over. So I put this outdoor storage box / bench together today.

We watched the closing ceremonies for the 2026 Winter Olympics. Hard to believe it's over already. Can't wait for the next one! IN the meantime we have the paralympics to look forward to, starting in two weeks.

God of War : Ragnarok is the sequel to the soft reboot of God of War. It's been out for a long time, but as with the first one it started as a Playstation exclusive, so us PC gamers had to wait a while for the release. The first of the new series was very good and this was just as, if not better. If I have one complaint its the portal system - why not just let you teleport from anywhere instead of having to run to a gate? Respect a gamer's time. But it's a small complaint for an otherwise excellent game.

Valentine's Day 2026. 27 years of love, still going strong.

Gigi went over the rainbow bridge today. It was very sudden. She'd been mildly unwell for a couple of days and a bit off her food so dad took her to the vet. Turns out she had a disease called immune-Mediated Thrombocytopenia (ITP) in which the body attacks its own platelets until it can't clot anymore and starts to hemorrhage all over. Testing showed she was down to like 0% platelets which was about the worst the vet had ever seen. She already had red spots on her belly and bruises under her armpits. It was a hard decision because she didn't act all that sick, but she was a time bomb, she could have had a major and very painful internal hemmorage at any time. So Dad made the compassionate call, even though it was difficult.

 

She was a great pup and now she's in the big field in the sky with all our other pups. She got along well with Maddie so I hope they are together again.

Aside from giving up two easy touchdowns in fourth quarter garbage time the Seahawks absolutely dominated this game, especially on defense. Super Bowl 60 champs, 29 to 13.

So far Super Bowl LX (60) is going really well. As a Seahawks fan they are crushing the Pats and Bad Bunny put on a great halftime show. Suck it MAGgots.

The opening ceremony was decent, but these five rings floated up from the ground, came together and then burst into fireworks and that was pretty cool. Time to become obsessed with the Gold Zone for the next 17 days.

Mari has a pinched or collapsed disk somewhere in the C5 to C7 range. It's been really bad since Sunday or so and we got into to see the doc today to get a firm diagnosis. So while she rests and takes her medicine, that leaves Gigi without a lap so somebody had to fill in.

Tartarus Sauce

 

Supergiant Games does it again with Hades II, the sequel to Hades I obviously. This company just has the secret sauce for making fun, engaging games. I hope they keep it up.
