Astronomically Long

Dr. Tyson was scheduled to speak for two hours but it went closer to three and the audience couldn't have been happier for it. He was every bit as charismatic, passionate about science, and informative as we could have hoped. We probably could have listened to him for another three hours. Worth every moment and we'd all go back in a minute. I hope he returns to Nashville again soon.

This clearly wasn't the first time one of his talks had run long because he had this slide ready to go, a (joking) excuse form for the younger audience members who would be sleepy at school tomorrow.

So excited to be here for  Neil deGrasse Tyson. We wanted to go last time he was in Nashville but it sold out crazy fast.

Mari, Dad and I are downtown to see Neil deGrasse Tyson give a talk and decided to make a night of it with a trip to Maggiano's. Always a special place to visit it was a reminder of how amazing their food is.

Built Shed

Dad and I built this in a couple of hours. We needed a place to store our new generator and some of the accessories that go with our fire pit. We prefer to park our cars in our garage rather than use it for an extra storage room so a new shed it is.

Bodes Well

Jedi Survivor is the sequel to Fallen Order which I played and thought was ok. Survivor exceeded that game on every level and my expectations as well. Thoroughly enjoyed the story, the settings and the game play. Looking forward to what they do next!

New New Groove

You never know with Mad. She loved the mix stuff for three days and now won't touch it, so we've moved on to this stew Mari found. So far she licks the bowl clean, we shall see how long it lasts.

New Groove

I've been home cooking our dog's food for many years now. I started when there were some mass produced dog food scares that killed many animals. I wanted to make something fresh and that I knew exactly what the ingredients were and the environment it was prepared in. When I started there were no human grade, fresh cooked, small kitchen dog foods for sale in stores, so in a way I feel like a trend setter. These days there are all kinds of options. Lately Mad has been going off her home made food so Mari found this stuff, and so far she loves it. I guess I can retire my skillet now!

A Stop In The Mist

Cameras often don't catch the full effect of nature. I swear when taking this I though it would be cool to show the thick fog all around me as I walked Mad this morning. Then the picture hardly translates the mist at all. Oh well. Still posting it.
