From previous posts you might think this is a downy woodpecker, but this is actually it's bigger cousin the red bellied woodpecker. We don't see very many of these but they're always pretty when they do show up.

I've been playing Cozy Grove on and off for a while now and have finally decided to shelve it. I got it because it was recommended as a game a lot like Stardew Valley (which I loved) and Animal Crossing (which I haven't played but is extremely popular). It didn't really live up to that and I got bored of it fairly quickly, but still a cute game.
On a happy Saint Patrick's day, the Tennessee Greers got together for Guinness, corned beef Reuben sandwiches, and good company. Green was worn by all.
There's a squirrel that used to come around a lot with a chopped off tail we so cleverly named Stumpy. Well we hadn't seen Stumpy in quite some time, but today he returned! Sorry the picture isn't better but he/she doesn't stay still for very long.
I've been wanting to try Five Guys for quite a long time now. I grabbed it for lunch on the way home from work today. The burger was excellent, I can see why it's so popular. However the fries weren't my favorite, and a burger, fries and drink cost 22 bucks which seemed very high to me.
I will miss the view. Though the one from Jerry's office is exactly the same. But once we move out, it'll be gone.
Since working from home looks like it's going to be a permanent thing, and we're also going to be moving out of Parkway Tower completely in about a year, they've been moving things around in the operations corner to give the help desk guys who still have to go in every day more space. Why keep them in a little corner when they have an entire floor of an office that's almost always empty? As a part of that they really don't have anywhere to store important things with a door that locks, so they asked if they could have my office and if I would be willing to move into the one next door with Jerry.
Given the fact I have only been in my office a handful of times since the pandemic hit two years ago, it wasn't hard to let it go. So here it is, cleaned out. And here it is, when I first moved in. 2014. 8 years ago. Can you believe it?
I just got a new table to put my tower on so I could fit a second large monitor. Quite an upgrade from the old situation.
Death's Door is a fun, Zelda style adventure game where you play a crow employed as a reaper collecting souls. More cute than dark, it's challenging without being frustrating. Overall a good game with a fun plot.
I add this post so when I look back through my blog at momentous occasions, this is somewhere in the narrative. Because the Russian invasion of Ukraine is definitely a world changing event. The invasion began on February 20th, and was expected to be a quick and ugly war. The ugly part has turned out to be right, but Russia has been thoroughly embarrassed as the brave Ukrainians and their own ineptitude have bogged down the soviet efforts. It has turned a fractious world, at least for a few glorious months, into a seemingly unified front. It's just too bad it took something this horrible to wake everyone up. Will it last? I sure hope so, this could be a turning point in our entire history.
