Today's live theater excursion was to Phantom of the Opera, which I had seen before but Mari hadn't. It was not Mari's cup of tea, and as for me it was kind of like remembering an old TV show fondly then seeing it again years later and realize how cheesy it actually was. Still, theater and dinner is never bad when it ends in our favorite restaurant. Sometimes we joke the plays are just an excuse to get to go to Maggiano's, and it might not be far from the truth.
