King Me
After years of talking about it we finally pulled the trigger on a new, king sized bed. Didn't realize just how much bigger it is than a queen. Love it!

Average Noire
Some amazing advances in facial animation can't overcome average gameplay. Also, I didn't particularly like the character you play, so it was hard to become invested in his story.

Embiggening My Brain
My job may not have the most exciting environment, but I have admit they treat me well. They've paid for me to take another class, so I can get Exchange 2010 certified.

Out Of Space
Atlantis landed this morning, so this will probably be my last shuttle picture. Unless we go to see one of them in a museum. Maybe the Enterprise in New York.

HP 7.2
I have to admit I was kind of feeling over the Potter thing. I mean they will always be some of my favorite books, but I wasn't as exited to see these last two movies. Proven wrong yet again, this was a fantastic movie.

All Set To Age
I take the day off work and Mari spoils me with my favorite things. Let's get another birthday started.

Late Lee
The AC needed a tune up. Poor guy didn't get here until almost 8. Busy time for them when it's 100 degrees outside.

Horrible Bosses With Bosses
....then went and saw Horrible Bosses. With Mari's boss. The irony wasn't lost on the group. I wasn't expecting much from this movie, looked to me like one of those where the best parts were in the trailer. I was wrong, loved it. Easily better than Bridesmaids and Hangover 2.
D8x2
We don't get out much, so it was nice when Mari's boss (Jim) and his wife (Trish) who also live in Hendersonville asked if we wanted to do a dinner and a movie type thing. Had a nice dinner and conversation at Qdoba in the Streets of Indian Lake....
The Last Shuttle Of Atlantis
Space shuttle Atlantis went up successfully today, the final launch of the shuttle program. Remember this? Now we have to beg rides off the Russians if we want to go into space. Yes, the shuttles should most definitely be retired, they've long outlasted their expected lifespan. It's the fact there's nothing to replace them that's depressing. I'd rant, but this post by Phil Plait sums up what I feel almost perfectly.

Recharted
I notice when not much else is happening, this blog basically becomes a log of all the games I play, movies I watch, and books I read. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing. Went back and played this after having already played it's sequel. Part 2 was better, but still a very good game.

Multiple Narratives
This Brent recommendation was a tough read for me, I got about 30% of the way through (one of the adjustments of having a Kindle is no more page numbers, just percentages) before it really started to make sense what was going on. I admit I almost gave up on it before that enlightenment. It was worth sticking with, a fun story hidden beneath some heavy theoretical science that even by the end I didn't fully understand.

Super D8
Went with Mari to Super 8. I had heard good things but for some reason wasn't expecting much. I should have been, turned out to be a great flick, enjoyed it a lot.

Crafting Three Days Off
Eased into the 4th, three day weekend. Did a little house cleaning, got groceries out of the way, did a little gaming. Finished SC2. The usual.
