Into this! So much better.
Many of the original windows in our house have broken seals, which means condensation forms between the panes and there is a constant haze. We finally got them replaced today, including changing out these two very high windows which we have never opened for a three part picture window that matches the front.
Mari has returned from Chicago! Knowing my love of a certain corny treat she and Casie roamed Chicago looking for some Garrett's to bring home but it turned out all the Garrett's stores were closed due to COVID so you could only get it online. Not wanting me to be disappointed she ordered some, but then at the Chicago airport Casie found a Garrett's stand! Nothing beats fresh Garrett's so they had a tin filled and brought it home! And I am not complaining!
Mari is off to Chicago to spend some time with Casie, so it's just me and the pup for a few days. I'm free to do all the things I want to do, like...walk my puppy and play video games. Hmmm, I think I do that already.
Mom and Dad celebrate 53 years of marriage today! We're so thankful we've gotten to spend so much time with them since they moved here, including moments like these.
Crusader Kings 3 is unlike any game I've played. You don't play a character you play a lineage, and the goal is to rule and expand your lands. Eventually "you" die of either old age, or other causes, and your heir then becomes the main character. You're tasked with continuing the family line, running the government, conquering new lands, and managing the diplomacy of your own vying royals and other countries. It's a very complicated game and it took a while to figure it out, and once I did it was fun for a while. The problem is it's a very slow game. You spend a lot of time waiting for things to happen.
After a recommendation by coworker Jerry I have been trying these spicy almonds in escalating tiers of hotness. Prognosis, I want the flavor notes of cayenne with the ghost pepper Scoville level.
Slowly, steadily getting more comfortable around each other. Well, to be fair it's mostly Mad with the attitude.
