Every year we have a Policy Committee Meeting that requires fancy dress and results in a nice lunch. Thanks to COVID lunch was individually boxed and we sat in groups of two at separated tables, but otherwise it was business as usual. I grumble about getting into a suit, but admit it's fun to snazz up and see everybody. It's only once a year after all.
Oxygen Not Included or ONI as it's known in the community, was a game that always got good reviews but I wasn't planning on playing. Then a Steam sale got me again, they had it for nine bucks and I thought why not? Turns out the reviews were right. It's a cartoony simulation / builder game where you crash on a asteroid and have to build your base while trying to figure out why you ended up where you did. It can be very fiddly and frustrating at times, but also lots of fun. So I'm glad Steam suckered me in once more.
A firefly hangs out on our butterfly bush in the dusk, no doubt resting up for tonight's light display.
Mari watches this YouTube series with a dog named Pluto and Pluto has this thing called a snuffle mat. It's supposed to make treats more stimulating and last longer. So we got one for Mad and she loves this thing. Whenever we pick it up to put bits of treat in it she starts bouncing all over. We get a lot of fun out of watching her take her time to sniff through all the "leaves" and find her rewards.
A mini Lego double set of the Mandalorian and Baby Yoda from the Atlanta Irelands on Father's Day. Mari helped me put them together, I hope that wasn't some kind of holiday violation.
