Out Of A Limb

We got home from dinner last night to find a limb had snapped off one of our Bradford Pears (James if you must know, yes we named our twin Badford's Bartles and James. Also yes, I know the company spells it "Jaymes" We don't.) There really wasn't much of a storm, but we know they can be fragile trees.

Italian Aging

Dad took Mari, Mom and I out to Maggiano's for our traditional July birthday combination celebration. Good food, good company as always.

Aptly Titled

I finally finished Assassin's Creed: Odyssey. It wasn't my favorite of the series but obviously good enough to keep me playing for many hours, because it took me a couple of months to get through.

Celebrating the 4th of July with family. Mari's patriotic gluten free cake.

Tennessee Twist

The new favorite adult beverage of my Dad and I. The Tennessee Mule. We've had it a few times now, and what better day than the 4th.

There's a a couple of different recipes but we've gone with 4 parts ginger beer to 1 part whiskey, squeeze in a little lime and add just a hint of lime zest. For it to truly be a Tennessee Mule the whiskey of course, must be local. A little JD # 7. Mari discovered the Root Sellers Pedal Hard ginger beer, really good stuff!
