Lambada
We've had a family of Northern Mockingbirds living in our front bushes for as long as can we remember. These two were putting on quite a dancing and flapping routine this afternoon. I wonder if love is in the air.

Bloody Tuesday
I got to stay home today to take Maddie to the vet after a lovely evening cleaning up an anal gland rupture. Aren't you glad I shared that? On the plus side it was a gorgeous afternoon so when I got home I sat out back, read my Kindle, and smoked a Romeo y Julieta - 1875 cigar. BTW I only post about cigars when it's one I've never tried before, kind of my own journal of the different types. Not sure why I felt the need to explain that, but there you go.

Sad Spark
Notre Dame caught on fire today, it was sad to watch the news as things progressed. It conjured up the memories of being there, what felt like not that long ago. Luckily many priceless artifacts had been removed for renovation and it sounds like they saved the two main stained glass windows as well as the famous pipe organ. Unfortunately many things were still lost and they are estimating anywhere from 5 to 15 years before it will be completely rebuilt at great expense.

Free Metal
We went to see Rock of Ages tonight thanks to Mari's winnings. I didn't know what to expect and was pleasantly surprised, really fun, entertaining show with great singers.

Just A Pretty Face
This wine caught my eye because I thought the horse head wine glass logo was really cool. The wine not so much, though Mari is more a chardonnay connoisseur and she thought it was OK.
