The 2017 NHL All Star game was today in LA. Not quite as thrilling as last year, or maybe one of those years Patrick Marleau was in them, but still fun to watch.

I might have officially moved my allegiance from the Sharks to the Predators since deciding Nashville is my permanent residence (as always barring the unforeseen), but Patrick Marleau will always be my favorite NHL player. So here's a little shout out to him for scoring 4 goals in one game.

Finished Deus Ex: Mankind Divided today, the sequel to this game. Great mechanics, good plot, some small quibbles but otherwise a fun experience.

We finished the foundation and built the first of two sets of stairs today.

The pieces are many, very, very many, and the instructions are not so great, but we managed to get the foundation done (with the help of Youtube and a blog from someone who built this model in the past.)

There were a lot of interesting displays and lot of wall panels talking about the history of the samurai age. Several examples of the weapons they used and how intricately they were detailed.

Mari was less than thrilled but the folks and us went to the Frist to catch the last week of the Samurai exhibition.

Silly Chicken

Lonnie, Ashley, and Payton came up for a late Christmas / on time New Year and we went to see Moana. I really enjoyed it, best Disney movie in a while. I forgot to take a picture of the poster so I snapped one of this magazine in the grocery store instead.
