Three's Company

Tara is back! We're watching her for the next 12 days so it's an extended stay to say the least. Hard to believe she and Mystic were puppies together eight years ago. It's a cliche but time really does slip by.

Tealish

We're trying to get back into working on the house, starting with the computer room. The sample turned out pretty good so our computer room will now be some kind of teal blue with a fancy name I can't remember.

Infinite End

Bioshock Infinite tried really hard to have as good a story and as strong a twist ending as the first one, it failed. But to its credit it was fun to play and the two main characters were excellently developed and voice acted, especially Elizabeth. I really didn't like the end, but others I have talked to thought it was great so...YMMV is the take away here.

Oh Sandy

So, I know this doesn't sound like something we would do, but Mari and I went with the Kramers down to Franklin for the Grease sing along showing. It turned out to be a ton of fun, glad we took a chance on it.

Damn Fireflies

Jim loaned me The Last of Us to play. Great graphics, excellent story, top notch voice acting, haunting musical score, really a great game. By the end the action sequences had gotten a little repetitive, but it didn't matter, that was far outshined by the rest.

Blelvis

I really wish I had gotten my phone out and the camera fired up quicker because this picture doesn't do him any justice. As I was waiting for Mari outside her office, a black gentleman dressed like Elvis from head to toe, including his pompadour style hair walked by at random. Or should I say strutted by because he had the walk going too.

Gogh Keeps Going

As you may know Starry Night is one of my favorite art pieces, so I enjoy different version of it. Here is Disney's take, which I call "Starry Night Over Space Mountain in the Shadow of Cinderella's Castle", or SNOSMSCC for short.

Banana!

The Kramer clan took us to see Despicable Me 2 for Mari's birthday. It was good but nowhere near the first one which remains one of my favorite movies.

Empty Nest

After a much-enjoyed, extended visit the parents are on their way home.

Nothing But The Tooth

Here's the whole machine. In 5 minutes it carved the ceramic block into a perfectly fitting crown that looks so close to my other teeth I can't tell the difference. All done in one visit. Pretty cool I thought.

Tooth Pick

Dentist visit today. I needed a new crown put in, so they scanned my tooth and then picked out a little block of ceramic that matched the color of the rest of my teeth. Here it is sitting in the machine.

Three In One

Since Mari's birthday is the 7th, Mom's is the 11th, and mine is the 15th we tend to just have one celebration which this year took place at Maggiano's and was amazingly good.

My parents and Goodie are here, she has to be about 15 now but she's still pretty spry.

3rd Art

Since we get the 4th off a lot of people have taken vacation today so the office is half empty. A few of them brought their kids in and they got together and drew a "newsletter" which they then made copies of and distributed with the title "Go Office Workers". My favorite part is the Gnome Barfing Rainbow (which if you really think about it would be a rainbow that barfs gnomes, but let's not get bogged down in technicalities here.) I have decided if I ever start a band that's what it will be called.
