In Her Shoes
Mari and I went for a pretty decent walk with the dogs, then hopped in the car and went down to Opry Mills Mall. We walked the entire loop, including stopping in various places to shop. That's well over a mile of walking, which may not seem like a lot, but for us it was awesome. Not saying we're ready for a marathon or anything, but it's hard to believe only four months ago things were much different.

New Trek 2
Went to see New Trek: Into Darkness. I thought it was pretty good, Mari who is more of a Star Trek traditionalist had many Bones to pick with how some of the characters were portrayed, in particular Spock. My only real complaint was the end chase / fight scene which went on needlessly long since you knew what the end result was going to be.

Fuzzy Piranhas
We've been going through a lot of bird seed lately and been blaming it on the flocks of starlings that come through and eat everything in sight. We call them bully birds. Then I happen to look out and find not one, but five squirrels rampaging through the feed. (There's one in the tree above the bird feeder not in the shot.)

Home Schooled
Staying home for the next two days for online training on VMware ESXi 5.1 to update my 4 certification. I grumble about my job sometimes but they have been good about getting me trained on things.

The Kristoffersons
We went to the Ryman tonight to see Kris Kristofferson again. He was excellent. I wasn't much of a fan before the concerts but he might have made it to number three on the list now. He brought his daughter Kelly on to duet for four or five songs. He also brought Larry Gatlin on for two songs. I admit I didn't know who that was at the time.

Reraided
They rebooted Tomb Raider, taking her back to an origin story. I wasn't going to play this at all, I'm not a huge fan of the series, but it got such great reviews it lured me in. They were accurate, well worth the time and money.

Almost Douglas
This tried very hard to channel Douglas Adams but it fell a little flat, especially near the end. Still, worth the read and some of the science for a being a comedic story was interesting and well thought out.

Cautious Optimism
The Sharks swept the Canucks 4 straight to open the Stanley Cup run. They looked good but I refuse to get too excited. Refuse!

Going Starkers
Better than the second, still not as good as the first. It reminded me a little bit of The Dark Knight Rises, which a lot of people call the Batman movie without Batman. He spends very little time actually in the Iron Man suit, but it still worked.
