Georgian Aid

Lonnie has arrived to cover week three of Mari's rehab with a little overlap to get to see his sister for a few days. Don't know what I would have done without them.

Oregonian Aid

Casie arrived today to help out for a week and she came bearing gifts! This amazing art piece she did of Mystic and Madison. I really did need the help so I'm very grateful. Mari has been doing great but I take for granted just how much my other half contributes until I have to do it all on my own.

Rehabilitation

Physical therapy session one. I meant to take a picture of the building but I forgot, instead you get the business card. Oh well, we'll be there plenty over the next three or four weeks I'm sure I'll make up for it. Went well during, but Mari is more sore now than she's been through the entire process. Still, it's a long way to recovery but hasn't been as bad as we were expecting.

Traffic Problem

A day to relax and recover before the real rehab begins. Our biggest problem right now are these two. They've been really good so far but making sure they stay out from foot and away from hip requires constant vigilance.

Cut Off

And we're home! Still a long way to go, weeks of using a walker and going to PT at least three times a week (starting Friday.) But home is always better.

In And Out

Had PT this morning and everything is looking good so it's official, we get to go home today! Just waiting on the paperwork.

Flower Power

Day 2. Everything seems to be going OK. Mari got several flower and food arrangements which made the room smell nice and the patient happy. Physical Therapy twice and both times it went well so we're on the fast track to a Wednesday release.

Slow time

Mari is out of surgery and doing ok.

Waiting Room

Here's Mari's room at Baptist, she just went down for surgery. Now to wait.... I don't like this part.

Purring To Go

I surprised Mari with this to take to the hospital. It's a stuffed animal and when you push its paw it sings the "Soft Kitty" song from the Big Bang Theory. How can you not feel better with that around?

Walking Space

I've got all the rugs rolled up and all the furniture pushed to the sides of most of the rooms downstairs to make for plenty of trip-hazard free walking. Just one more day to go.

Prepare To Die

Whenever we go to Which Wich for dinner I have to resist putting "Inigo Montoya" in the "Hello! My name is:" box.

A Valentine State Of Mind

I got this for Mari for Valentine's Day. A reminder of one of our favorite memories and a symbol of the ones to come.

Bread And Circuses

Didn't really have an interest in this fight, no Bears no Broncos, but most of the family was going for the 49ers so at least I could side with them. Unfortunately, no such luck. Although I did think the Raven making a confetti angel on the field was pretty funny.
