This actually took place yesterday and I forgot I took the picture, but I liked the sun rippling-water effect so much I didn't want to waste it. So here. My blog I can do what I want.

Waste Not

My Treat
In what has become a tragically rare treat I got to see Brent, James, and many of the SouthComm crew at La Ha today. And it was good. So good. Indecently good.

Growing Fuzz
We share a datacenter with the Police, or more correctly they share a portion of their datacenter with us, so I've spent a lot of time with cops since starting at JIS. All of them have been pretty cool, my theory is that because I'm in their "home base" they feel more relaxed then when you meet one out on the streets. Just today's random thought.

Not Super Or True But Mildly Sad
If you like dystopian literature a la A Brave New World or 1984 then Super Sad True Love Story might appeal to you. It drags in places, but pretty good (one reader's opinion of course, YMMV.)

Urban Titanium
So we get a letter in the mail from our Honda dealer saying they're having a special sale on Saturday for previous customers only. We're perfectly happy with our CR-V and generally skeptical of all things car dealer but figured what the hell. Besides we really like our salesman, Bubba. Long story short we leave with a brand new CR-V with a way lower interest rate, way lower payment, and fewer years on the loan. And that's with zero out of pocket. We're still looking for the catch. We had to wait until today to pick it up, the one we wanted had to be transferred up from Murfreesboro and detailed.

Epicish
Finished Epic Mickey. If you aren't into Disney it's just an average game at best, if you are it was worth the play through. Best part for me, finishing a quest that leads you to a secret door. Behind the secret door? Walt's Apartment. Again if you weren't a Disney nerd your reaction would probably be...I did all that, and that's it? Some room? But being one. Pretty cool. (And yes fans, it was located on top of the fire station.)

Two Faced
Snow. Pretty when it blankets the earth, fun for dogs to play in. But tomorrow's commute is going to be hell. Thanks snow (or I should say your evil cousin ice.)

Oration Celebration
Seeing a great movie about speeches on a day remembering a man known for his great speeches. Really good flick.

Snow You Didn't
I don't want my blog to become some kind of snow penis collection, but someone crafted a little message out on the bus station plaza today. There were several interpretations of meaning, but I read this as pissed off. As seen from twenty stories up it's difficult to gauge scale, but whoever the "artist" was put a lot of effort into it.

The Birds
I wanted to take a better, zoomed in pic but my phone wasn't cooperating and we had stopped in the middle of the road to take this. Hard to do justice, but there were hundreds of birds all over the road and off by the white fence. (Given the resent, freaky mass die-offs of birds I should point out these were all of the alive variety.)

Resleeving
It's hard to post cover pictures of books now that I do all my reading on the Kindle. So I made this little compilation to mark finishing the Takeshi Kovacs series recommended to me by Brent. If you like SciFi very good.

Been a slow picture week, but this came today and caught my eye. It's the ThinkGeek newsletter and it's subject line? ThinkGeek snicker-snacks prices!
