Engage

I'm more of a Star Wars person but Mari likes Star Trek so she wanted to give this a shot. She's been playing for a week or so, I'm going to use one of the free trial accounts that came with her box this weekend and check it out. Supposed to be rainy, good gaming weather.

Four Square

And just for fun, one of my favorite new filters, the Warholizer.

Now With Special Effects

Android finally has a really good, and free, application that does all kinds of picture effects. So now Brent isn't the only one who can be all digitally creative. I also like that you can cycle through different filters before taking the picture, and on your screen it shows the filtered result live. As opposed to taking a picture first, then adding effects.

Stardust

Recently got this movie on Netflix as a random "this looks sort of good" pick. Completely loved it. Got the book, and for perhaps the first time ever, the movie was better then the book. Not to say the book was bad, but the film was definitely better.

Fortified Future

All backgrounds checked, all classes taken, and now having met with Metro's ING representative and gotten my retirement rolled over into their plan I am officially 100% a government worker. I feel less efficient already!

And Then There Was One

And lo it was, that the Sharks moved on to the second round, whilst the Predators did not.

Twisted

Mari and I love pretzels. We ran across a recipe. Today we try it. (Note: The results were really, really good.)

A Victim Of Marketing

Hey, I might not always like it, but that doesn't mean I'm immune to it. Hypocrite? What?

Iron Spam

Watching my favorite childhood super hero finally come into his own I knew the inevitable shilling would begin, but it's still a little annoying to see the mountains of cheap Iron Man crap that has followed. That said, this poster a co-worker put up today is excused. If you're going to shill at least do it with technology.

Drug Harassment

I had my last two Metro classes today, Sexual Harassment Prevention and Substance Abuse Awareness. Time to get liquored up and make inappropriate comments to my coworkers.

Waiting With Baited Bark

After a really good visit, Dad is winging his way home. Here Mad waits to greet him with morning, ear piercing shrieks of joy.

A Good Day

Panera for breakfast. Some shopping, including a Mari favorite (Coldwater Creek) and a me favorite (Barnes and Noble.) Lunch at September's (pictured). Clash of the Titans. All with Dad. To be capped by some home cooking and good conversation.

In Town

Dad is in town for a conference, and we get to see him over the weekend before he goes home! This is his rental car since, you now. I like cars.

Recovery

Still recovering from yesterday, all the pain and nausea is gone but it really kicked my butt. I've never had a migraine even come close to how bad yesterday was. The smallest effort is exhausting, so today will be spent in bed streaming a Farscape marathon from the Roku.

A Bad Day

Easily the worst migraine attack I have ever had. Today was a very bad day. If not for Mari getting an emergency prescription from the Dr for these pills, I'm not sure what I would have done. Jumped out a window I think. I love my wife.

Paletas With Pals

The post-fire return to La Ha was good, but lunch with friends Brent and James was even better.

Marketing

I walked all the way across Tennessee to get to the Farmer's Market for lunch today.

Random Waiting Picture

With Second Avenue closed for water pipe repairs, picking Mari up after work is a mess. So now she has to walk over to my work and we avoid it all, which is not so bad. As I wait today I get to hang out with dogs, which is never a bad thing.

In Hot Water

I have today off from work for Good Friday. Why I'm not sure, but I won't complain about a free day. I decided to crawl under the house to see how they ran that new pipe I mentioned. While I was under there I figured I would to go the extra mile and show all two of you who look at this thing what the new water heater looks like. Enjoy.

Mario Lied

Plumbing issues are expensive and no fun. That dug up stretch of earth is the result of a new PEX water line. It runs from our water main, all the way under the house to the garage, replacing the brittle PVC main water pipe which shattered in one spot, either before or after our water pressure valve blew out.
