Neither Rain, Nor Sleet, Nor Snow
Shall keep us from our Saturday morning tradition at Panera. (Note: The journey there chronicled in Mari's blog.)
Mulligan
So I take back my snide comment, it just came later. We got a good 5 inches of snow topped with a crust of sleety ice.

The End Of The World
Walking to meet Mari at her office in the middle of a massive blizzard. Or not. Oh Leland Statum, you so crazy. If it ever really snowed here, by pure force of collective Tennessean panic the city would implode into a black hole.

Growing Mass
One of my favorite games got it's sequel today, as Mass Effect 2 launched. It's been a good time for gaming lately. It seems like only yesterday I was playing it for the first time, or reading one of the two books. Here's hoping the next entry lives up to the first.

One Of Two Certainties
Mari has this year's taxes all done, and I am thankful as ever she takes care of all that. Not much coming back from Uncle Sam this year, oh well.

Watch This
The aforementioned watch. Purchased for me after much searching by Mari, who knows how picky I can be about certain things. And it's perfect.

Glittering
Has it really been over a year since the ring? Back to Village Jewelers to have the ring cleans and tightened, but also to get my new watch's band sized.

7 Words
I always liked George Carlin, but was never truly a "fan". My sister got me this for Christmas and I'm finally getting around to reading it. So far, it's really good. Better then I expected.

Settler
My first two assignments at work. Upgrading the Blackberry server to version 5 and researching the integration of RSA into our systems. Not earth shattering, but finally starting to find my place here. All is well.

Dream Meets Hope
As a government employee I get certain days off I'm not used to, such as MLK Day. I didn't do anything particularly inspiring, so I leave you with this tidbit of art I ran across that I liked. I couldn't find the name of the artist, so credit to Anonymous for now.

Rock Fist
Just started this game tonight and already love it, here's hoping it holds up end to end. Special note, the most unique start menu ever.

NASty
I didn't have anything better to share today, so you get a picture of one of our NAS devices. Or more specifically, the back of it. I took this so I could reference the ports and indicator lights while looking up an issue on the interwebs.

Two-Fisted Phoner
My new, work supplied Blackberry. For use when on call, which I will be in alternating two week stints.

Dead Clown
Something you don't expect to see when flipping past the obituary page. Now intrinsically I realize this is a person with a family, but some macabre part of me can't help but find this creepy-funny. And hey, isn't that probably how Bippy would want it anyway? (Well, maybe not the creepy part, but all clowns are kinda creepy if you ask me. I blame Stephen King.)

Lego My Star Wars
Don't expect anything deep from this game obviously aimed at kids, but so far it's been fun to play through the first of all six movies in Lego form.

Test
This is to see if my Droid will now post to my blog. (And it looks like it worked, so I'm back in business. I will keep this reminder of what I like to call my Angst period. The purple slashes represent uncertainty, while the black objects are the Horsemen of the Apocalypse, all hovering over a sea of ambiguity beneath a sky that shows the rippling currents of the battle between Saint George and the dragon. Top that Kandinsky.)

Alarm!
One of my early favorite features, this dock you set your Droid in to charge. It automatically turns it into an alarm clock with weather. You can also choose to turn it into a music player or digital picture frame. I have already replaced my ancient CD player radio with this on my nightstand.

Droidus Interruptus
Pardon the canned images until I get time to figure out how to post to Blogspot with my new phone. Here you can enjoy my first masterpiece drawn with the finger painting app for the Droid.
