Questionable Signs
Signs are up for the impending debate at Belmont U. Actually they have been for a while, I just didn't notice until recently.

Dog Days
There's just something peaceful about spending some time on a sunny afternoon throwing a ball with the pups.

Debate Won
Debate number one is over. Obama was solid. I believe, and the after polls confirm, most people think he "won". Unfortunately I was hoping McCain would make a major flub and he didn't aside from a few lies that have already been called out. Also, I in no way purposely chose this picture because it makes Obama look big, and McCain like a T-Rex armed midget.

Drummer Boy
My team may not have beat the best college in the country, but I did find a bicentennial quarter. Since I was born in '76 my folks started collecting them, and I've carried on the tradition. They used to be all over, but now are actually fairly rare to come across. I don't expect them to raise in value or anything. In fact I really don't know why I collect them, other than man's natural desire to horde. At least I chose quarters not gas. What? Still bitter about that? Let it go man! (Picture Note: Sorry about the blur, the cell cam can't handle detail shots.)

Gasoline
Mari and I waited in line for over half an hour for gas tonight, though to be fair much of the reason it took so long was the pumps at this particular station dribble out the gas. I'm kicking myself for not getting a picture of it, but I was too busy being annoyed. I really hope this teaches Nashvillians the beauty of mass transit and changes their all cars all the time philosophy. Unfortunately I believe all it taught them was to horde gas like Mad Max rejects.

Panic Without The Disco
Mari and I stayed in today, she played a little Spore, I played a little Okami. We cleaned the house, watched some backed up Tivo programs, and enjoyed our Farmer's Market bounty. Less because we didn't want to go anywhere, and more because there is literally no gas. All four stations in our area are empty. Thank you for panicking and creating a problem that didn't exist fellow Nashvillians. You suck.

Suited For Steak
Dad was in town to meet with a company called HMS who are pitching him software for his hospital. Met him at a place called Fleming's above P.F. Chang's on Broadway, where they were wining and dining him. Food was great, wish I could have taken some snaps of the opulent insides but it was too dark and I thought popping a flash would be a bit uncouth.
Google On Wheels
Google bus spotted outside the Broadway Borders. No idea what it's promoting, if anything more than Google in general, but it caught my eye.

Culinary Adventures
This is why I love working at the Sc3ne with friends who like trying new places. I probably never would have gone here on my own, but an excellent lunch was had with Brent and Brian. And I have to say I am now a fan of Ethiopian food.

Spore
Mari started playing this, and I sampled it a bit. Very entertaining, so another win for Will Wright.

Sacked
Then it's off to the grocery store across the street. Reusable bags required (as well as smug greener than thou attitude.)

Getting Involved
I've always voted, but never gotten involved. In fact Mari had to drag me here. It's not that I never cared. It was 1/3 laziness, 1/3 preferring to be left the hell alone, and 1/3 being a pessimist and not wanting to care and end up disappointed. I'm still the last, but there is a lot at stake and Obama is an inspiring choice unlike the last two Democratic nominees. I ended up glad that I went, though I still fear what the mass of dumbshits that share this country will end up doing.
Barockin' The Joint
Mari and I went to an Obama rally tonight. They expected 15-18 people based on pre-rally interest. 50 showed. It was pretty cool.

Da Bears
I have to admit to being a pessimistic fan. But they open the season with a great win over the Colts.

McFail
Awesome acceptance preach by McCain (for a Chuck E Cheese anamotronic.) I couldn't even bring myself to put a picture of it on here. So instead....enjoy.
