Maldron Main

Nice enough hotel enhanced by a great location right in the center of Dublin. Dad and I had our first Irish Guinness right over there at that bar.

Maldron Dublin

Our first stop was the Maldron Dublin Hotel. We arrived a day before the Trafalgar tour officially started so we had time to acclimate and do a little wandering.

Céad Míle Fáilte

The flight over the pond wasn't too bad, and six hours later we were walking through the Dublin Airport ready to start our adventure in earnest. Speaking of six hours, that's how many Ireland is ahead of us so we basically left Friday afternoon and arrived Saturday morning.

Dunkin'

The first leg of the trip out took us to Boston for a short layover. If there was any doubt about our location the Dunkin' Donuts sign immediately outside the gate was a good clue.

Shifty Characters

We got off to an auspicious start, with Mom getting a complete pat down. Something that would become old hat by the time the trip was done. Clearly we were traveling with a criminal element.

Eurotripping Part 2

Our trip to the British Isles began as usual, at the Nashville International Airport.
